Abibliophobia is a combination of the Greek terms a – meaning without + biblio – meaning book + -phobia – meaning fear.
When people inquire about the meaning of abibliophobia, they often ask whether it’s a genuine psychological condition or merely a whimsical term among bibliophiles. In answer to that question… it’s simply an amusing word used by book lovers. And it’s often described as the opposite of tsundoku, which means to accumulate stacks of unread books. [1]
